5 Cheap Winter Date Ideas

Have you been looking for a cheap winter date night idea? We've got you covered. Check out these 5 dates that won't break the bank.

Here at Consolidation Express, we’re all about supporting you.

We understand that in the run-up to Christmas money becomes particularly tight and people feel they can’t have the romantic date nights they might usually have.

Well, whether you’re just starting to date or have been together for years, we’ve got some cute and cosy date ideas that will keep the romance alive without breaking the bank this festive season.

01. Get your bake on!

Pick up some cheap and cheerful baking supplies and spend some time creating some Christmassy treats. From mince pies to snowman cupcakes there is something for everyone to enjoy.

02. Have a merry movie marathon

Get cosy with your spouse and pop on a couple of cheesy Christmas films. We all have our favourites, but we highly recommend Nativity, Love Actually, The Office Christmas Party, and The Holiday.

03. Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Wrap up in your favourite winter coat and enjoy what nature has to offer. Visit your local park for free, or your local National Trust, and take in the beautiful scenery together. Around Christmas time a lot of National Parks hold Christmas light trails which you can enter for free or for a small fee.

04. Go ice skating

Holding hands on the ice could be a cute date, or a pretty funny date. Whichever way it goes, ice skating can make for a great time. One thing is for sure, this date will certainly have you falling for each other!

05. Roast marshmallows and tell stories

If you already have a fire pit, or fireplace this idea could be perfect for you. Roast marshmallows on an open fire and reminisce on your past and chat about your future.

Unsecured Loan Representative 69.9% APR

Borrowing £7,500 over 36 months, repaying £502 per month, total repayable £18,083. Total cost of credit £10,583. Interest rate 69.9% (variable). The lenders on our panel offer loans for 12-60 months, with rates from 5.8% APR to 89.9% APR. The Representative Example is based on all loans paid out by lenders between 19th Apr 2022 and 23rd Dec 2022.

Secured Representative 11.7% APR

If you choose to add fees to the loan: Assumed borrowing of £25,000 over 120 months, plus a broker fee of £2,500 and a lender fee of £250 would result in monthly repayments of £345.55, the borrowing rate is 8.6% (variable), the APRC is 11.7% (variable), total charge for credit £16,466.00 and the total amount payable £41,466.00. You can opt to pay the lender and/or broker fees upfront, your adviser will discuss these options with you.

Think carefully before securing other debts against your home. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or any debt secured on it. All rates vary subject to loan amount, loan type and status. Repaying your debt over a longer period of time may increase the amount you pay.
